Jan 15, 2015u00a0u00b7 to make wax cubes for your wax warmer, youu2019ll need { wait for it } wax! you can use regular paraffin wax, beeswax, or soy wax. in addition to the wax, youu2019ll also need essential oils in any scent you choose, and a mold.
I like soy wax, but itu2019s important to get the mixture of fragrance to wax correct. the process of when you mix the two is also important. soy wax doesnu2019t have as strong of a scent throw as paraffin wax and you donu2019t want too much of your scent oil to evaporate. check out the steps i use to make diy scented wax melts below.
And hereu2019s the thing: most of the wax melts they were selling were made out of paraffin wax and synthetic fragrances. those arenu2019t things i want my family breathing. but i do like the idea of wax melts. so, i grabbed a cheapy electric warmer (less than $7), and i went home to make my own wax u2026
Using your wax melts. place your wax warmer in your desired room and turn it on. place one or two wax melt pieces into the tray of the warmer, and enjoy the lovely all-natural scent! note: our little plug-in wax warmer didnu2019t generate a lot of heat, so it took quite a while to melt the wax.
